We provide a whole range of services to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

Services for your comfort

Left luggage/cloakrooms

Free left-luggage office available on the 1st floor of the Museum.

Changing table

Changing tables are available in the Men’s and Ladies’ toilets on the 1st floor of the Galerie de l’Homme.

Equipment loans

Equipment to make your visit more comfortable is available at the Group reception desk on the 1st floor. Wheelchairs, portable seats and visual aids are available upon request, just ask our staff.

Hearing loops are installed in the reception areas, the Galerie de l’Homme, the Jean Rouch auditorium, and the educational workshops. All videos are subtitled in French. Many of the videos are also available in French sign language.
A haptic model of the building, available on the 1st floor, helps you to get your bearings in the various museum spaces.

Reception centre

An information counter is located on the ground floor as you enter the Museum. Documents helping you to organise your visit are available including museum maps, brochures presenting the various spaces, a quarterly events and activities programme, and other documents to help with your visit.

Our customer service team is also available to provide you with information and answer your questions every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for Tuesdays, either on site or by phone at +33 (0)1 44 05 72 72.

Above the information counter, screens will provide you with general information (opening times, rates, museum spaces) and the schedule for the day’s activities.

Food and Drink

The Café de l’Homme

The Café de l’Homme restaurant is accessible from the museum entrance. Large arches open onto a terrace overlooking the Trocadéro gardens with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
The menu features iconic French dishes with an international twist spanning all five continents, to reflect sharing and cultural exchanges.

Café Lucy

On the 2nd floor, the Café Lucy cafeteria serves quick lunches and dishes of the day made using fresh, organic or local, seasonal produce. The salads are made in front of you, for even more freshness, and to guarantee no allergens if needed. The menu also features breakfasts and snacks.

Special attention is paid to waste management with 100% biodegradable packaging.

Book & Gift Shop

In the museum’s entrance hall, the book and gift shop invites you to continue your exploration of the natural and cultural history of Mankind and offers a regularly renewed selection of books.

A collection of postcards, stationery, games, gifts and cast models complete the range.
