Here you will find opening times, admission prices and map of the Musée de l’Homme.


Informations

To ensure the safety of our visitors, the Musée de l’Homme is strictly applying the security measures decided by the french authorities.

The Musée de l’Homme is fully opened.

It is strongly recommanded not to bring suitcases and luggages to the Musée de l’Homme. Only luggages not exceeding 55cmx35cmx20cm will be accepted


Opening times

The Musée de l’Homme is open every day except Tuesday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Last admission 45 minutes before closing.

Closed Tuesdays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

Galleries begin closing 30 minutes before closing time.

Admission prices

Permanent Exhibition - The Galerie de l'Homme

Full price: €10

Reduced price: €7

  • Education Pass holder.
  • Full-price ticket holders can use their tickets for up to three months at Jardin des Plantes, Musée de l’Homme or Parc Zoologique de Paris.
  • Everyone pays full price within non-school and non-assimilated groups of 20+ people, reservations are obligatory (one free ticket is offered after 20 people have paid).

Free admission:

  • EU visitors 25 years and under can present I.D. for complementry entry.
  • Children under 3 years old, with justification.
  • Disabled visitors and their attendent, with justification issued by les Maisons Départementales des Personnes Handicapées (MDPH).
  • Jobseekers who are able to present a valid certificate or one that was issued less than 6 months ago by Pôle-Emploi, and a photo I.D.
  • Welfare beneficiaries (according to the Ministry of Solidarity and Health) and those mentioned on the certificate, upon presentation of the valid certificate and photo I.D.
  • Annual Museum Pass holders and a photo I.D.
  • Students of Muséum, with valid student card and I.D.
  • Valid ICOM/ICOMOS card holders and a photo I.D.
  • Teachers preparing a free visit, or a guided tour or workshop, on presentation of the reservation.
  • Journalists with valid press I.D. (with validity date).
  • 1 extra person in a group of 20+ people (group leader, driver...).
  • Groups training for the DIREF, accompanied by a staff member of Muséum

Rules

The objects on display in the Galerie de l'Homme (skeletons, fossils,..) are fragile.

The recording of video or taking of photographs are allowed only without the use of a tripod or flash.

Inside the gallery it is forbidden to:

  • touch the objects on display.
  • use a selfie stick
  • eat or smoke
