The Resource Centre welcomes you during the week for a wide range of activities: personal study research, family visits, workshops, debates...
Located on Level 1, the Resource Centre offers:
- 15 workstations on two parallel tables.
The workstations are equipped with desktop computers, headphones, the possibility to connect one’s own laptop and a wireless internet connection.
- 10 mobile multimedia stations, tablet-style, for individual and family visitors, which can be consulted from comfortable furnishings: chairs, sofas and poufs for children.
The consultation furniture can be rearranged to create a space adapted for workshops, discussion groups, etc.
The Resource Centre has an information booth with staff to help you find what you’re looking for, a media library space and a pleasant, modular lounge that can be adapted for variety of purposes. As part of visitor services, it reflects the life of the museum, from research to cultural events.
The Resource Centre does not loan materials, but visitors are encouraged to peruse the periodicals, catalogues, works of popular science and graphic novels that are available in the lounge area. Most of the centre’s content consists of visual and sound archives that can be consulted on the available computers and tablets.
The Resource centre produces interpretative digital documentation around given themes, combining documents from the centre’s resources (visuals and audio) with written text. Each theme offers several levels of reading (overview or in-depth coverage lasting about an hour) and includes a bibliography referring to works available in the research library.
