You must book at least 6 weeks before the date you want to visit.

Reception of adult groups

In an effort to provide the best visitor experience possible, we limit each group to 30 people, whatever the subject or format of the visit. If your group is larger than the limit, we will advise you on the number of groups to be formed.

Guided tour

A wide range of tours led by the museum’s experts will enable you to explore one of the Musée de l’Homme’s themes.

Rates

Fixed rate for outreach workshops: €165/group
Admission: €7/person for the Galerie de l’Homme or €9/person for the “Neanderthal” temporary exhibition and the Galerie de l’Homme.

Self-guided tour

Admission: €7/person for the Galerie de l’Homme or €9/person for the “Neanderthal” temporary exhibition and the Galerie de l’Homme.
Booking fee: €15/visit

Self-guided tour with your own guide: independent tour guides are welcome in the museum spaces (excluding the temporary exhibition rooms) with your group subject to the current group rate.

Opening times

The museum welcomes groups every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays).

LThe museum is closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

Hints and tips for your visit

Plan your visit in advance

Lay the groundwork for your upcoming discoveries! Upon presentation of the proof of booking at the cash desk, the point of contact for the group enjoys free individual entry to organise the upcoming group visit to the museum.

On arrival, the day of the visit

Go to the Group Reception desk on the 1st floor of the museum with your booking confirmation, 15 minutes before the time of your visit.

A customer service assistant will be there to greet you, give you your tickets and take your belongings to the cloakroom.

During the booking process, you will be assigned a time slot. For safety reasons and to make your visit more enjoyable, please respect these visiting hours.

If you are running late, please let us know on +33 (0)1 44 05 72 72 (or before 10.00 a.m. on +33 (0)1 44 05 28 28).

The visit will be cut short by the same amount of time as your delay, and no total or partial reimbursements will be given.

The museum’s services

Left luggage/cloakrooms

In addition to the group cloakroom, there is a free left-luggage office available on the 1st floor of the Museum. Large bags and objects are not allowed in the museum.

Changing table

Changing tables are available in the Men’s and Ladies’ toilets on the 1st floor of the museum.

Equipment loans

Equipment to make your visit more comfortable is available at the Group reception desk on the 1st floor. Groups may be given receivers for guided tours with our experts. Portable seats are also available.
