Free admission for disabled people and their companion or carer, on presentation of proof at the reception desk.
- If requested in advance via the contact email address, assistance is available from the reception desk to the exhibition spaces or to the nearest transport.
- The reception desks on the ground and first floors are equipped with magnetic loops for visitors with hearing aids.
- A sensory pathway has been installed near the windows throughout the Galerie de l'Homme. It is accessible to all. It consists of a tactile “you are here” map, objects to touch and listen to, and tactile displays in association with the showcases.
For the French speakers, the Musée de l'Homme has joined forces with the association SOUFFLEURS DE SENS and its “Souffleurs d'images” programme, which helps visually impaired people access the various exhibitions and events that take place throughout the season. Visitors wishing to benefit from this programme are accompanied by a volunteer souffleur or “whisperer”, often a student or an artist, who whispers a description of the elements they cannot see.
Information and/or reservation (15 days prior to the visit/event) at 01 42 74 17 87 or at souffleursdimages [@] souffleursdesens.org.
